1. _I_n_t_r_o_d_u_c_t_i_o_n
The License Tools (_l_i_c_e_n_s_e__e_o_e) product contains tools which
support the installation and management of software
licenses. It includes _L_i_c_e_n_s_e _M_a_n_a_g_e_r, which is a graphical
tool used for installing and managing software licenses.
This product should be installed on systems running licensed
applications.
There are two software licensing systems: FLEXlm and NetLS
(Network License System). Both the FLEXlm and NetLS systems
support node-locked licenses (licenses which are specific to
one machine) and network (floating or concurrent) licenses.
A program which has been software-licensed requests a
license when invoked; if none is available, the program does
not execute. A software license is represented as a coded
text string which can be installed to enable a licensed
application to run on a target host.
For more information on software licensing, please refer to
the _F_L_E_X_l_m _E_n_d _U_s_e_r _M_a_n_u_a_l (in the
_l_i_c_e_n_s_e__e_o_e._b_o_o_k_s._F_L_E_X_l_m__E_U_M subsystem), and the LLLLiiiicccceeeennnnssssiiiinnnngggg
chapter in _I_R_I_X _A_d_m_i_n: _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _a_n_d _L_i_c_e_n_s_i_n_g.
Note: Packaged with your software is a separate sheet that
contains the Software License Agreement. This
software is provided to you solely under the terms
and conditions of the Software License Agreement.
Please take a few moments to review the Agreement.
This document contains the following chapters:

2. Installation Information
3. FLEXlm Licensing
4. NetLS Licensing
5. Alias|Wavefront Licensing
6. Changes and Additions

products before installing the software. Refer to
the booklet in your CD-ROM case for more information.
To access the online release notes, select ``Release Notes''

_g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) graphical browser for the online release notes.
Refer to the _g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) man page for information on
options to this command.
If you have a nongraphics system, you can use the _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s
command. Refer to the _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) man page for accessing
the online release notes.
